The meaning of the TAG Heuer logo
Good evening, everyone!
This is Iseya.
Due to my profession,
when I see items in the genre I handle,
I can't help but stare at them...
thinking, "That's cool..."
What caught my eye then was
"TAG HEUER."
If you look closely,
the TAG Heuer logo is...

a combination of "red" and "green."
Does anyone know why?
Today, I'd like to delve into this.

~The Meaning of the TAG Heuer Logo~
TAG Heuer
is said to have been founded in Switzerland in 1860
by "Edouard Heuer."
At that time, it did not have the "TAG" part,
and was known by the name "HEUER."
The logo back then was apparently simple and monochrome.
The situation changed in
"1985."
"HEUER" was on the brink of collapse
due to the quartz crisis.
It was acquired by TAG, a Saudi Arabian investment company,
which provided financial assistance to Heuer during its difficult period.
As a result,
it became the current "TAG HEUER,"
and remains so today.
At that time, the logo and colors were changed.
Green represents TAG's Saudi Arabian green
Red represents Heuer's Swiss red
The design was decided based on
the colors of each country.
