What is Moncler...?

Just when you think autumn is around the corner,

you catch a glimpse of summer's lingering presence.

Such are these days.

I've already got my blanket out, skipping autumn and preparing for winter.

 

When it gets cold, what comes to my mind is

“down jackets.”

 

Speaking of down jackets,

many famous brands come to mind,

but for me, it's “MONCLER.”

 

Today, I'd like to delve a little into the history of Moncler.

 

 

 

~The Birth of MONCLER~

 

Moncler began in 1952

when René Ramillon and André Vincent met.

 

It was founded in "Monestier-de-Clermont," a town on the outskirts of Grenoble,

in southeastern France.

 

In fact, this place name was the trigger for the creation of the Moncler name.

It is said that the brand name was coined by combining the first syllables "mon" and "cle."
